Cape Town Beach Photography â?? 2025

Beach people photographs from our March 2025 trip to Cape Town. The first set are from Fish Hoek beach in the southern Cape â?? a favourite location for local families as it is on the Indian Ocean side of the peninsula, where the water is warm. It also has a great beachside café and always a colourful array of people of every shade and age.

The second set was taken at Glencairn beach, a little farther down the peninsula. This is a popular surfing location, close to my all-time favourite coastal breakfast café. On this occasion there was a windsurfer absolutely flying up and down the coast. I had my birds-in-flight kit with me and thought it might be interesting to apply BIF techniques to capture the motion â?? at 420mm with the MC14 teleconverter on the 150â??400mm. It turned out rather well, and I think I caught something of her absolute joy and the drama of the scene.

Photographs in this album include: Fish Hoek beach people across a range of focal lengths, and Glencairn windsurfing at 420mm.
