Da Nang portraits
Mostly taken in the wonderful street market behind Nguyen Van Linh, and adjacent to the Da Nang boutique hotel, where we were staying. I mostly shot with the Olympus 75mm f1.8. This was the first time I had used the 75mm for street, and I must say I like the effect it gives. The equivalent focal length is 150mm on full frame, and for most people this would be regarded as too long for portrait work. But on the Olympus, it gives really nice background blur at f1.8, and has just about enough depth of field (although it's tight - maybe 3-5 cm). On full frame a lens of this size would be unmaneagably large for street work - on the Olympus, it's tiny, fast, and quite unique.
