Puffins!

Puffins!

BIF shots of Puffins at the RSPB Bempton wildfife reserve. Puffins are incredibly fast and rather small birds, which is why are they are stationary in most shots you see of them. At Bempton, on rare days they fly on and off the cliff face, and it's possible to catch them in mid-flight, quite close to. They seem to come out when it's windy as that saves them energy. In otherwise perfect wind-free sunny weather, you can spend the day and not see a Puffin here. And on other days, there could be dozens. Fortunately I was there on one of those good days (and also on many more of the Puffin-free ones).
