South Beach from Point Reyes lighthouse
A hand-held long exposure shot at 3.2 seconds, taken on the Olympus E-M1ii. South Beach on the westernmost side of the Point Reyes Peninsula is an impressive 12 km dead straight run of sand. It actually runs northeast to southwest so it is south only in the sense that everything has something south in it. This shot was taken at the end of a long day driving around the incredibly gorgeous Point Reyes National Wildlife reserve and it was my last shot of the day. Although it doesn't look it, it was actually getting really dark and on my way back to the car after taking the shot I had to use a torch to find my way.
