Green-breasted Mango Hovering Frontally Above Heliconia

At Dave & Dave's Nature Pavilion in Sarapiquí, Costa Rica, a Green-breasted Mango hummingbird hovers frontally above a heliconia bract with both wings extended in a broad, nearly level line. The flower and clear green background show why this open riverside deck worked so well for flight photography.
