Green-breasted Mango with Uneven Wings in Frontal Hover

At Dave & Dave's Nature Pavilion in Sarapiquí, Costa Rica, a Green-breasted Mango hummingbird faces the camera with its right wing extended horizontally, left wing lifted and feet tucked beneath the body. The flower and clear green background show why this open riverside deck worked so well for flight photography.
