Honduran White Bats Roosting Under Leaf Captured From Below
A low-angle macro photograph captures a roosting colony of Honduran white bats huddled closely together on the underside of a large green leaf, shot directly from below. The small, tent-making mammals display their characteristic fluffy, cotton-like white fur, pale yellowish-green ears, and distinct leaf-shaped noses. Looking up into the canopy shelter, the cluster of bats lines the central vein of the leaf, perfectly showcasing how they utilize the folded vegetation as a protective overhead tent structure.
