Savage’s Thin-Toed Frog Camouflaged on the Forest Floor

A close-up photograph captures a Savage's thin-toed frog, also known as a smoky jungle frog, resting among damp brown leaves and fallen twigs on the forest floor. The large amphibian features a robust body with mottled tan and dark brown skin pattern that mimics the surrounding leaf litter. Its large eyes with copper-colored irises are open, and its broad, powerful front limbs are planted on the wet ground, blending into the forest floor habitat.
