Track workers laying sleepers before a train arrives at the Nine Arch Bridge, Ella, Sri Lanka

This is at the famous 9-arch bridge iat Ella, shown in the SL landscape album. These gentlemen are repairing the track - all the light coloured sleepers are ones they had just laid. The train was due at 9:00 am and it was exactly 9:00 am when I took this photo with one sleeper left to lay. They finished the job with remarkable calmness , the train arrived shortly after and swept serenely across the new track.
