In our stay at the wonderful Club Villa Bentota, it became apparent that a gentleman called Asamtha, was the main man. Whenever a tuk tuk was required, he was always mysteriouisly tthere - and was an excellent driver. It also turned out he had many other arrows in his quiver, one of which was running this non-touristic fishing boat. It was clearly one of the last of it's kind on this stretch of the coat. He headed out into the sea most mornings and getting the thing into the water and then moving was a major undertaking and very entertaining to watch.
